Chrono is what i did for my valedictory project. I wanted to show people the different ways i act through my photos. For example, the photo above is me with a flower on the left because i love nature, while the orange me has a soda because i love sugary drinks. I had to use a tripod because the background couldn't move. I had to set the camera on a timer also because when i clicked the button, i also ran into position so the picture could be taken with me in front of the camera rather than behind it. I enjoyed doing the project because i had the freedom to choose what to do. The musical one was the most time consuming edit because the photo when i took it was a bit underexposed, but it was fun to do. The ones i took in the karate studio was crazy because it was a hot day and i kept changing. I enjoy how you can see a lot of the weapons i like to practice with. The last photo is just me in my parent's room, but it shows like a more "girlyer" side of me.

Valedictory Check-In
I am doing chrono shots of myself because i find it very fun to do. When it comes to editing, thats one of my favorite things to do with photoshop. I do many things when it comes to pretty much everything, so what better way of showing people than using one photo of many of me! I plan on having some indoors and hopefully outdoor shots.

Surrealism Final Edits
Megan is a shy person, but when she gets to know someone she is enthusiastic. During cross country she made a lot of friends. The bird in the picture was at the beach and she was relaxed then.
Megan's inner self is a peaceful person who has a deep understanding concept of nature. she was at the beach but in her mind she thought about the earth.
My pose in strong like a bridge. I come off as confident a lot of times. the background photo is the sky when i was on the plane. My shirt is a flower because i like sitting around and enjoying nature.
This is me. I'm kinda goofing off with my hair. I'm a dork, but i'm also a family person. The inside is me and my mommy. i took a selfie and i liked it, so i wanted to see what it would look like. the other photo is the beach when i went in 9th grade.
I liked this unit for about half of the time. Overall, i mainly only liked the silhouette editing because it was easier and it turned out better for me. i wouldnt mind doing that again, but i didn't enjoy the when you were able to see the person.

Magritte Questions
1.
What is surrealism? Strange ideas put in art
like what might happen in a dream.
2.
What motif did Magritte use in many of his
works? The man wearing a bowler hat
Why was this
significant? The 1st portrait of the hat guy was a self-portrait
3.
In his work Golconda,
why is it important that Magritte varied the image of the man in the bowler
hat? Arranging layers, scale, background, foreground add variations and that
makes photos interesting to look at rather than the same thing again
How does it add
depth to the work? it adds depth because it shows how different something can
be while using the same motif over again. It makes it interesting to the eye.
When the photo doesn’t have depth it looks like a skin disease.
4.
Why did surreal artists choose to create strange
worlds with their art? they did surrealism to show what things happens in their
mind and to be more expressive and cause talk like dada
5.
Explain how the techniques of juxtaposition,
altered scale, and language help Magritte explore Surrealism. “Magritte and other surrealist artist played
with the subconscious mind concept. They found that juxtaposing ordinary but
unrelated objects could be as disorienting and powerful as waking up from a
strange dream.”
6.
What would be a few reasons why Magritte would
cover the faces of his subjects? It could be anyone including himself. It makes
the viewers wonder what is hidden and why.
7.
Why did Magritte strive for realism &
precision in his paintings? Magritte
was believed to be a prodigy by his parents; he wanted to be noticed as a
painter when he became older. This caused him to be precise in his paintings.
I like how he keeps his photo symmetrical looking even though it normally isn't like that. He has a repetition of clouds in the background of most of his works. The first picture is confusing and i like how he ahs four arms because i didnt notice it at first. the second photo he has a syringe and i wonder what he is doing with it,

Examples from Artist that Inspire Me
Brandon Kidwell
I like his work because it is simple the way he does it. I love the hand thing he did because it looks not normal. his hands are shaping his head in a way.
These photos have different artist, but i love how it makes my mind think. i especially like the car one.

Perception vs. Reality
I describe myself as sporty. I am an athlete, but I hate working out and hate putting effort into everything which i have to move. I enjoy playing many instruments and i practice a ton daily. I dont really care too much about my appearance because i dont think it really matters that much. i just like staying comfortable. i do a lot of random things to try making people laugh, and i like to stand tall be confident but still humble. i try when i want to try, but when i dont try, i look like "ehhh"

Exquisite Corpse
The image was acquired by drawing random body parts without seeing one another's ideas.
Irrational juxtaposition of images.
