Writing with Light Group Experiment

 Iso: 100
F/Stop: 4.5
Shutter Speed: 30.0

I light shooting this kind of work. i would have liked to have a little more time on deciding what we wanted to do. and just put more thought into it. but i love how it turned out, because no matter what had happened. it looks cool because the photo has a lot of contrast in it and the lights stand out. i think this photo turned out good because the infinity stands out and the sgiggly 8 at the top does too. my main suggesting is to have more time on planning this out.

Motion Assignment 2

Blurred Motion

this is appealing because it makes our eyes move back and forth from what is blurry and what is not.

Frozen

this photo is appealing because it shows what our eyes cannot really see. these photos are normally too fast for us to take a good look at cbecause we only see it for a split second.

Chrono

this is appealing because it looks cool. it makes me look at each individual person because my eyes move. it has the principle of rhythm.

Panning

this is appealing because it is similar to having a low f/stop because the subject is clear, while the background is blurry. it focuses the viewer to the actual moving thing.

Writing with light

this kind of art is appealing because of the contrast in the photo, because it is normally taken in the dark so that the bright lights can stick out.

Zooming

this kind of photo uses leading lines. this makes the viewer's eyes go in to the middle and out to the edge.

Motion Blog Assignment 1

Blurred Motion

this type of motion is achieved by using a  tripod. the subject moves, but everything around it is still. the shutterspeed is slow. especially the middle photo where the girl is swinging, but she wasnt there the entire time because she is transparent almost.

Chrono

this type of motion photo needs a tripod. the picture is taken at a fast shutter speed, and there are multiple photos taken, and photoshop to put them all together into one

 Panning

this photo is normally not taken with a tripod because of the movement of the photographer. the subject is clear because while they move, the camera guy moves along with them so the background is blurry. the shutterspeed isnt really fast or really slow, it is more slow than fast though.

Zooming

Zooming photos turn out like this because the shutterspeed is slower. this photo would help if a tripod was being used, but you dont need one. while taking the photo, the camera person clicks the button, while zooming in/out on the lens.

Writing with light

these photos are taken with a tripod, and a slow shutterspeed. the light sticks out more because it is bright. whatever is still normally is in focus. but it doesnt have to be. the lights move around.

Frozen Motion

these photos are taken at a fast shutterspeed and it doesnt need a tripod. in these particular photos, the f/stop is low.

Aperture Quiz

Low F/Stop F/4.5
                                                               Medium F/Stop F/10

                                                                High F/Stop F/29

I liked this assignment because it is a creative work playing around with the depth of field. i liked how one shot can be turned into 3 by just changing the F/stop. here in this work, in the 1st pic, lucy is out of focus, but the books are in focus. in the 2nd picture, the books are in focus and lucy is, but the background of her is a little blurred. in the 3rd picture, lucy is focused, the books are, and the shades in the background is also. Depth of field can be manipulated in photography because it can focus on the main subject of a photo. it helps the viewers look at the subject instead of having wandering eyes, unless you use a high depth of field, then the eyes will stay in motion looking at everything. i like using depth of field as an advantage to photography because i like taking close up photos with almost nothing right behind, except a really far away object or scenery.
