This is my asymmetrical shot. I chose this location because me and some of my friends used to hang out here. I still love going to this place because its a chill place to be. I like this photo because of the pink things on the right side and how the sun comes through the shot.

This is Framing. I took this photo through a doorway because if i went any closer, I wouldn't be able to get everything in the shot. this is the weight room at karate and I see it everyday and during track season my coach forces me to lift weights. I liked this photo best being black and white because it makes the shadows and highlights stick out.

This is leading lines obviously. I like this photo because it was taken in the middle of the day and it looks like it is later because of the gross looking wall. i think it looks cool that it is darker until the middle. This location is the little strip mall where my martial art studio is and i pass it everyday.

this photo focuses on point of view because most people do not stare at the headlight like this. i used surreal for this photo and the outcome was phenomenal compared to the others. this is my dad's car and i'm always in it because he drives me a lot of places because i don't drive. i like how this photo made the car look chromeish, and the reflection on it stands out.

this photo is repetition. This is the back of the karate school. And karate is my life bruh. the reason i took this photo is because me and my friends used to have this little play house type thing back in elementary school. i dont really know what this is, but i liked how the boxes have lines and
the wall does too.

This is symmetry. This is in my favorite photo and it takes place in my neighborhood. This is newer in my neighborhood and i think its just a pretty place to be. i like how the green and blue have many different shades.

  1. Which picture goes with...
Symmetrical balance The one of a pavilion out in a field
Repetition / pattern The one with three cylinders in a row on a building.

Different point of view / perspective The picture with half the car

Asymmetrical balance A building and parking lot

Framing The picture with gym equipment through a door way.

Lines (leading, diagonal, horizontal, vertical) A sidewalk with a building and columns on either side.

Which photo has the best composition? Why?
The asymmetrical photo because the lighting or sunset perfectly colors the pavilion and everything is very well balanced and even
Which photo would you hang on your wall? Why?
The point of view shot because I love the colors in the car and just the way it was composed is very interesting/ appealing to me.
Which photo could use a little work? What needs done? (composition/lighting/cropping/camera angle/camera technique)
If any had to be worked on I would say the framing shot and the only thing I would possibly change is the way it was cropped but I don’t think it the shot needs much work done at all.

When looking at the entire set of images what do they say about the photographer? Can you determine anything about the person by looking at their photos? Do they tell a story or are they just a collection of images?
As a mini gallery, these photos say that the photographer seems to attracted to taking pictures of structures such as building rather than taking picture or more nature oriented things. By looking at their photos I gather that this person enjoys working out. For me their photos don’t tell a story really but I do feel like they fit together.
