Portraiture Workbook Assignments

   It’s cool how most photos are traditional, but this photographer took it to a whole new level. I like how they used their disadvantages to their advantage.  When it is windy, it is hard to get the hair perfect, but in the first photo, it is a pretty messy.  Senior portraits tend to be serious and smiling, but the photographer’s use of props are so different it gives an interesting new look to the photo. Some photos would’ve looked nice before, but he made them have a dirty texture look which I think looks cool. Having the subject completely in it, or the face in it is a common thing, but taking it beyond the limits and making only half their face in a photo has a different appeal. Most people have themselves in the photo, not normally 5 times, making their portrait a chrono shot gives off a different feel on the person because you can see their many different personalities.

 i like how this photo could be anywhere because the flowers are nicely in the background but it is blurred so you cant tell about anywhere else.

 i like how this photo is framing her and the location is simple just in a field.

 this photo is unique because most people are just laying on the ground, but the sun in the background wis really pretty and her smile is nice.

 i like how the candid shot is different, and the photo on the right has a little prop using the hat to help pose her for both shots.

 i like how simple this photo is. its just a close up, but i like how her eyes really pop out.

 i like the angle of the photo with the sun in the back because it makes her have a glow around her.

 i like this location and the artsy type of feel in this photo. it not being colored makes it have a very serious and mysterious feel to the photo.

 i like how this photo is artsy again, and it is in black and white. i like how her black shirt contrasts the white flower because it makes you eyes move a little bit.

 i like the perspective of this photo. it is unusual to have the white at the top though, but it gives a different look to it. i also love the use of the prop.

i like how this photo uses a ton of emphasis because everything is greenish yellow, but her hair sticks our well, and herself as a whole.
