day 3

As I said in the last post, Mary Ellen Mark was influenced by Helen Levitt. She was more profounded by Helen than Robert because she followed more into her footsteps. Levitt focused on a lot of street photography. A lot of times would be negative photos of people. Mark had street photos of people normally in a bad situation. She had a lot of people smoking in her photographs. This little girl was smoking outside.

This shows the lack of rules these kids had. They probably didn't have good parents. This is the almost the same as Levitt because she has upsetting photos also.

This photo is by Levitt. It is bad because this boy is pulling up the girl's dress, while the girl is bullying someone against the wall. They both have a very negative style in their art.
